TAMSformers Robotics

Built and programmed competition robots as part of the TAMSformers robotics team, working across mechanical design and controls.

Overview

Competition robots need to be designed, built, and programmed under tight deadlines while staying reliable enough to perform consistently in matches. That meant balancing mechanical design, wiring, and software all at once as part of a team. Robotics offers a chance to be creative in multiple outlets, not just competitively.

My Contribution

I am the operations and safety manager for the team, ensuring the team functions well and training members on safety. In off-season, I helped build a go-kart out of an FRC robot frame. To ensure that children can operate it safely, we incorporated a joystick onboard and an emergency switch with a remote operator so they can stop it.
